Romanesque Days
"Man, Art and Nature in the roman time"

from July 8 to 13, 2024

Mural figures are some of the most beautiful examples of Romanesque art. Over the last century, their artistic value has put them in danger of theft and degradation. The Romanesque Days will present a panorama of European Romanesque paintings: Western and Southern France, Catalonia, Rome and Southern Italy, Switzerland - with the most renowned specialists in the fields of : color, liturgy and Romanesque art. With the help of experts, one will rediscover famous frescoes in St Martin de Fenollar and other less known ones in Andorra’s Romanesque churches.

A friendly atmosphere characterizes the Days. Meals are taken in Cuxa, accommodation is provided in Prades (shuttles). The Romanesque Days are organized around a particular theme, illustrating the relationship between the arts and society in the 10th, 11th or 12th centuries. The program is established under the responsibility of an International Scientific Committee.
